Meet Alex Blake

Alex is an international bestselling author and editor of thirteen international bestselling books. Alex’s 20-year engineering career has taken her across the world, living north of the Arctic Circle, in Calgary, Vancouver, South Africa, England, Indonesia and Australia.

She now lives in Brisbane, Australia where she runs her editing and book creation business, meeting aspiring writers every day. She has a unique ability to hear someone’s story for the first time and instantly know how to organise it on the page. 

Alex knows how and when to hold a safe space for authors to reveal their story. Her favourite part of the editing process is guiding authors to go deep into the story to extract a key message that they themselves may not have even realised. She creates a transformative process for clients to reflect on their lives and go on a powerful inner journey. It is these skills, coupled with her sharp eye for detail that keep authors returning again and again.

She is a world traveller, diversity advocate and lover of words.

Alex is inspired to create when climbing mountains or hiking in the local Australian bush, and delights in watching her two young boys run ahead on the trail, squealing with excitement at the discovery of a new treasure.
